Soccer Innovation - The Story so far

Soccer Innovation is the concept of former professional footballer Ricky Gillies. The former under-21 Scotland Captain, thrilled fans and terrorised opponents during his career at clubs including St. Mirren, Aberdeen, Partick Thistle and latterly in New Zealand.

During his 16 year professional career Ricky gained a wealth of knowledge on how the game should be played. Learning from the likes of Roy Aitken, Jimmy Bone, Alex Miller and Bobby Gould to name a few. His goal, assisted by other former stars of the beautiful game, is to pass on this knowledge, enthusiasm and passion to the next generation of footballers across the UK.

Ricky has since teamed up with former student-athlete Barry Hume, to launch Soccer Innovation Scholarships Ltd, where they look to place aspiring footballers into Colleges/Universities across the USA. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an education parallel to your football career, as well as staying connected to football in the UK during your studies.
